Cybercriminals are using ever more advanced methods and technologies to breach and undermine digitalised society. To be able to rely on secure and dependable ICT systems, networks and services now and in the future, organisations will need to take more combined and more effective action. That is why cybersecurity is one of the key enabling technologies of Top Sector ICT. The dcypher platform is a place for exchanging knowledge, and for facilitating cross-sectoral cybersecurity partnerships. It is a place where public and private operators and knowledge institutions come together, where knowledge can be exchanged and intensive partnerships become possible, and where resources and expertise are made available for cybersecurity research and education and for developing concrete and innovative applications.
Expertise
The mission of the dcypher partners is to extend the depth and scope of how cybersecurity expertise is developed and applied in the Netherlands. The goal is to develop a high-level autonomous knowledge position in the country, and safely utilise the societal and economic opportunities that digitalisation presents. To achieve this, it is vital to develop a strong innovative foundation, to make the Netherlands less reliant on cybersecurity expertise and solutions from other countries.
This calls for closer cooperation across the entire cybersecurity innovation supply chain. That is what dcypher provides, by using smart methods to match and coordinate the supply of and demand for expertise. dcypher fosters the development of knowledge in the cybersecurity domain, to give a vital boost to the cybersecurity industry and support the public sector in its role as launching customer. This is one reason why dcypher and Topsector ICT together are the motivators of the Broadly Supported Programme for Cybersecurity CS4NL.
