Over the past two years, the DBC has experienced growth in both activities, including the start of the use cases, and in the coalition itself, with the arrival of a nice group of new partners.
A period in which Frans van Ette as Coalition Manager, together with
all the partners, made this possible. For TNO, Van Ette's employer, the
two-year term has expired, which is why Van Ette is returning to TNO to
develop new initiatives there.
After a long search, the DBC is
pleased that the position of Coalition Manager has been filled from its
own network. With Peter Verkoulen, formerly CEO of DBC's core partner
Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen, we have found a proven
coalition builder. Someone with extensive experience in setting up and
managing complex compositions such as the Dutch Blockchain Coalition.
Verkoulen's assignment in the coming years, in close cooperation with Ambassador Rob van Gijzel, but of course also with all current and future members, is to guide the coalition's activities and use cases to the next level.
On 1 September, Peter Verkoulen officially took over as Coalitionmanager.
The past few weeks and months I have been able to experience about the DBC. Now I have really started. The DBC has developed very well in recent years, all the way from scratch. I am happy and proud to be able to play a role in the further growth. The most important element in this is to create one integrated blockchain ecosystem for the Netherlands, in which the DBC and other organisations can each play their own role. In this way we can make the Netherlands stronger in the world and strengthen the "Blockchain for Good" vision," says Peter Verkoulen.
