Relevance
The Mobile World Congress is a large relevant event that brings ICT experts together to exchange information on recent developments. The Holland pavilion is organised by Enterprise Summit, in collaboration with EZK and Topsector ICT. Knowledge, ideas and ambitions are exchanged at the event by participants, thus forming a strong networking moment where relevant parties come together. The focus is on mobile technology, making it directly relevant to our future information and communication network infrastructures. In other words, Future Network Services (FNS).
Several relevant start-ups from the Netherlands were also present, such as KNISP and Droonstra. Furthermore, the Metaverse was visible as a common thread throughout several pavilions, in addition to this year (post-COVID) there again being a very active presence from Asian countries.
Holland Pavilion
On day 1, the Holland Pavilion opened with a panel discussion by director Frits Grotenhuis and Jos de Groot, director of digital economy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. Among other things, they discussed the importance of international conferences and events for the Dutch economy. Later that day, Paul Wijngaard of TNO and Marcel van de Griend of CapGemini spoke about FNS. In the evening at a dinner with the Dutch delegation, Frits spoke to the guests about the role Topsector ICT plays in connecting parties to achieve valuable and inspiring innovations. He also spoke on this subject with Roel Nieuwenkamp, the Dutch ambassador to Spain, regarding a possible cooperation next year.
All in all, a good and relevant event for Topsector ICT and its supporters!
