To further stimulate cybersecurity innovation, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the European Commission have made almost 1 million euros available for the development of cybersecurity solutions and services. Dutch companies and research organizations can apply for this new subsidy, the Cybersecurity Innovation Fund (CIF-NL), from October 2 to November 2, 2023. Applicants can expect to receive an amount ranging from 25,000 to 75,000 euros per project.
Dutch entrepreneurs, and SMEs in particular, play an important role in building a secure cyber infrastructure. CIF-NL offers these companies extra support. The financing is intended for projects that contribute to the following themes: automation of existing cybersecurity solutions, retention and training of staff, safe and privacy-friendly data sharing and developing or scaling up new small-scale cybersecurity solutions.
CIF-NL is coordinated by NEXIS, the Dutch hub for cybersecurity innovation, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
