Starting on October 1st, the new Cybersecurity Funding Portal will be available. The portal consolidates information on Dutch and European subsidies for cybersecurity innovation in one easy-to-access location. The new tool helps entrepreneurs, as well as knowledge and research institutions quickly and easily find the right grants for their innovation projects.
The portal was developed by dcypher and NEXIS NCC-NL and is hosted on the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) website. dcypher is the collaboration platform for cybersecurity knowledge and innovation and NEXIS NCC-NL is the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity. Cyber Security Technologies is one of Top Sector ICT's seven Digital and Information Technologies and is part of the National Technology Strategy (NTS).
More time for innovation
“In practice, we see that many entrepreneurs get lost in the vast amount of cybersecurity innovation subsidies at regional, national, and European levels. Finding the right grants takes time and can be complex. The new portal provides a clear solution, giving entrepreneurs more time to focus on what really matters: innovating and running their business”, according to Eddy Boot, director of dcypher.
Handy Filters
The portal provides an overview of Dutch and European grants for cybersecurity innovation. This includes specific grants for cybersecurity and digitalisation (such as calls from the Digital Europe Programme, Horizon Europe and CS4NL) as well as general innovation grants (such as WBSO, MIT and Innovation Credit). With handy filters, users spend less time searching through numerous subsidies and can instantly see which ones fit their project, along with details on budgets, deadlines and conditions.
Korstiaan Stam, Founder of Invictus Incident Response
“Finding the right funding is an art, especially if you’ve never done it before. That’s why it’s important to understand the conditions, so you know right away if a grant is worth pursuing.”
Personalised assistance
In addition to information on funding, entrepreneurs can rely on personal assistance from specialised advisors. These experts help them find the right funding, help clarify grant conditions and provide insights into the application process. Users can submit their inquiries through a contact form on the website.
Dennis Schouten, Founder of Chunk Works
“Finding suitable funding can be quite challenging. There are so many different grants available. An advisor can better assess whether we meet the grant criteria and it’s helpful to have someone to discuss this with.”
