Today (11 May 2023), Figurehead of Top Sector ICT Jeannine Peek will be giving the annual Technology Lecture organised by KIVI. She will be taking the invited audience on a journey through time. A time when digitisation has dramatically changed our lives and continues to change faster every day. Digitisation has clear benefits, but we should not be blind to the threats. Video conferencing software, for instance, got us through the Covid19 pandemic, but our reliance on digitisation is also increasing rapidly.
In her lecture, Jeannine Peek, figurehead of Topsector ICT, SER member and managing director of Capgemini Netherlands, argues that it is important to tackle the digitisation of our society as a transition. Digitisation is not something that happens to us, it is a fundamental change that needs steering and an integrated approach. The need for this is demonstrated in aspects such as the energy transition, healthcare and our increased awareness around strategic autonomy.
