20 oktober – Online Blockchain & Mobility Meetup

"A people-powered dynamic map enabled by #InternetOfCameras "

Time: 16:00 - 16:45
Location: online

Agenda:

  • Introduction by Harmen van der Kooij - DBC Mobility Track Lead
  • Presentation by Alireza Ghods, Co-Founder NATIX (Network)
  • Q&A and open discussion

Alireza Ghods from NATIX (Network) will talk about their solution based on a "crowdsourced camera network". How they involve any kind of existing cameras and involve them for running AI algorithms "on the edge", collect metadata (privacy-compliant) and creating a dynamic map of the public space. Alireza will also explain how they can do this in a privacy-friendly manner and without recording any video data.

Alireza will dive into their newest product, "Drive&" mobile app, targeting 1.5 billion active smartphones and drivers worldwide. The app allows drivers to use their mobile phone cameras to collect all kinds of data based on smart algorithms running on their phones. Taxi drivers, truck drivers, delivery drivers or any average citizen driving on public roads can participate and earn money with the data they collect.

Alireza will explain how the incentive mechanisms work and how third parties can buy and benefit from the collected data. For instance, municipalities, automotive companies and/or insurance companies.
